Who was the first musician that you saw live? How was the experience?
My sisters 16th birthday - 1965- Our dad had his office in NYC and we often met him as we would come in fron NJ. The Copa Cabana was such a cool place with the dancers and the live music.
Most notable was the place was so small, so no matter where you sat, you were near the stage area. This performance was wonderful and one I will forever remember. If I am not mistaken, he died
a year later. Hearing him sing 'Unforgettable' was just amazing. I was only 14 but I remember it like it was yesterday.
