Christian Bernard

Good morning Phil and welcome to our community from Dubai where I am today.

You're right, in current times, being close to the right people and knowing how to be relevant to them is going to be really key. Communities such as this one and networking platforms such as LinkedIn make it possible to an incredible extent, beyond all boundaries.

The few clues I propose are:

- Know why you network in order to figure out with whom and how. Otherwise you may spend your whole days foing it non stop!

- Give before receiving. It is like with family or friends. Be genuine, try to help and the rest will probably come through. On this blog you can do this simply by commenting people's posts and sharing ideas.

- Learn the tools. The only way to figure the vast possibilities these new tools offer, and how to use them efficiently is... to try them out, often enough to understand not only their features but the specific behaviours of people using them. I personally find it fascinating.

Looking forward to reading your future contributions.

Have fun! Christian
